My Grandfather introduced my family to Salcombe and it's where my love of sailing and boats began. This print is inspired by a classic, clinker built motor launch which was hand-built in Salcombe.
This edition is probably the most literal of the WATERLINES prints, showing the curves and shadows created by the planks of the hull. The pastel pink is really reminiscent of one of the most beautiful seaside towns in the UK (if not the world).
WATERLINE is a collection of limited edition screen prints, based on boats found in locations around the world which mean a lot to me.
Each print starts life as a photograph, before digital abstraction where i split the image into a number of layers which are then hand silkscreen printed.
